Sexually Transmitted Infection


  • STIs are very common, and many times you do not have any symptoms with these infections.
  • You and your partner should be tested before any unprotected sex.Testing most often only requires a urine sample for men and women.
  • Practice safe sex by always using a condom.
  • Symptoms may include burning with urination, abnormal discharge, bumps, rashes, blisters, etc.
  • Birth control may prevent pregnancy but it does not prevent STIs, GET TESTED!!!


  • HIV is the virus that can cause AIDS.
  • The virus can have no symptoms for up to 10 years or more.
  • HIV can be spread during sex and by any contact with sexual fluids.
  • There is NO cure, but treatment is available to slow the progress.
  • Condoms offer good protection against HIV/AIDS, but you should be tested before any unprotected sex.
